The "Wire we Here?" Blog and Forum
Welcome! At Iconoclast, our approach to things is perhaps a bit wordier than some people's, and that means it makes good sense for us to have a forum to answer customer questions, and to facilitate discussion between customers about these products and other cabling issues and topics. Our sales and engineering representatives monitor this forum and will try to answer whatever questions you may have.
Welcome to our brand new "Forum." This is new to us so please send comments or suggestions. For now this is a single topic forum open to any and all questions. Thank you for being here and for your interest in Iconoclast cables!
I see we have a couple of new members who registered. Thank you and welcome! Please post a note to introduce yourself.
Hi All,
I’m in Adelaide South Australia , owner of a few Iconoclast cables (mk1) which I purchased from Bob a few years ago. I still have the black Iconoclast Hexagonal boxes the cables came in. I have the speaker cables up for sale as I changed my speakers to the Linkwitz LX521.4 which use 4 cable (4ch x 2polarity each) Speakon connections. I sometimes wonder if it would be possible to build a custom cable using Iconoclast?
Hi Frank and thank you for being the first to post on our forum! If you have one of our original "hat boxes😊" then you really do go back a number of years! If you have a moment, post an image of the box. It's been years since I've seen one.
We can absolutely build you a 2-into 4 "bi-wire" Iconoclast assembly with Speakon's on speaker end. We do this pretty often most times with a Series I TPC pair for the low base terminals and your choice for the mid/high terminals. Since you already have a pair of Series I cables you might send them back to us for use in building the new bi-wire assembly. Send me an email to bhoward@iconoclastcable.com with the length and I will prepare a quote for you.
Here is a testimonial I received just this week from Jerry in Rohnert Park, California.
By the way, I looked at images using Google Maps of Adelaide. You live in a "beautiful" place. Australia is on my bucket list to visit.
Thank you again for the introduction and for being a a member of the Iconoclast family!
Bob
Hopefully this comes through
